As a crazy group jogs on the curb waiting for the light to turn red (yes, we have turned into those people), a new kind of lunch hour has commenced at the Actual Size office.
After being inspired by Mary’s personal New Year’s resolution of becoming healthier, we decided to join the goal as a team. With 80% of all resolutions failing by February, we knew the only way to stick with our plan was by holding each other accountable. To meet this goal, we started a running plan that guides us to racing in a 5k by March/April. And yes, that meant we ran for 1 minute and walked for 2, completing 2.3 miles in 30 minutes on our first day out.
With Ben pacing us and our first day complete, we are excited to beat the statistics this resolution season. As an office, we realized that we can’t bring our best work if we ourselves aren’t physically our best. So, we’ll keep you updated as we venture around our work neighborhood in East Liberty, figuring out how to stay warm during a Pittsburgh winter. And maybe even discover something new about our neighbors!
