The Fourth of July is a landmark occasion during the summer months. It is a time when people celebrate, and are more prone to drinking and driving. In order to warn against holiday drunk driving, The Century Council enlisted us to devise a creative way to remind people not to drink and drive.
Rather than threaten the audience with an ominous message, we created an animated short that plays on fond holiday memories and then delivers a daunting message: at the same time that we are enjoying these quintessential summer moments, someone may be having a drink and then driving a car, putting us all at risk.
This video was used as the centerpiece of a holiday email and Facebook campaign.
